Stop Telling Women How to Talk: Examining the bias against women's voices in podcasting
In my feature article for Women Who Podcast magazine's Fall 2022 issue, I took a closer look at bias against women’s voices in the world of podcasting. As a woman podcaster, this was a fascinating and frustrating topic to examine. I was surprised to learn where this bias comes from, what it looks like and the impact it has.
Identifying and recognizing this bias is the first step to overcoming it -- and I hope this article encourages more women to share their voices authentically and publicly.
